When I was asked by Paul Thompson of Digital Dimensions to work on a new children's Dvd series, I knew that the concept of presenting the well known story of The Good Samaritan as a 1940s detective tale was going to be fun. The main character of Aachan Solvitz was to be based on the famous actor, Humphrey Bogart, as he played the role of private eye, Philip Marlowe in such old movies as The Big Sleep. Whilst for some reason it didn't enter the final finished work, I recall wanting to name his faithful camel, Chandler, as after the great writer himself, Raymond Chandler.
The first children's Dvd called Aachan Solvitz and the Case of the Missing Body is shown for your enjoyment, what will follow this posting will be a number of pieces of artwork from the second Dvd, this based on The Prodigal Son, entitled, Aachan Solvitz and the Case of the Missing Playboy.
