The Do-Doistic World of Do-Do Man
Co-creators, Mychailo Kazybrid and Sarah Sier produced, Do-Do Man with the idea of giving a face to Joe Public and John Doe. Following the loss of his job, and rejection by his not so nice bank manager, our protagonist returns home to continue his research into a cure for insanity. However, having inadvertently drunk chemical X instead of his usual cup of tea, Do-Do Man emerges, a wonderfully wild and playful psychotic who, with the aid of Amy, his catatonic cat, embarks on his first insane adventure persecuting his bank manager. Based in the fictitious city of Shefferham, the tale involves a host of colourful characters, all of whom eventually find a room waiting for them at the local psychiatric unit.
First produced as a Limited Edition, the title went on to a further four issues, with the completed artwork for a as of yet unpublished issue 5.
At the tender age of 39, a rather strange ginger cat came into our lives, making its way into the origin and world of Do-Do Man, now that I'm almost 60, I find yet another rather strange ginger cat in our home, and this suddenly turning my mind towards the question, maybe, just maybe it's time for our protagonist to wander the streets of Shefferham once more. On that note, I leave you with the following posts which proudly show the first six pages originally published in Do-Do Man, issue 1.

Wedding cartoon (B)
Yet again I had the pleasure of producing a created landmark cartoon for a happy couple's wedding day, whilst getting the chance to work with colourist, John Burns, once again.
Wedding cartoon (A) colour
...of course, the full colour artwork. I certainly can't take any credit for this as it was kindly done by fellow artist, John Burns. I had the joy of working with John during a three and a half year period on the Wallace & Gromit daily cartoon strip, appearing in The Sun national newspaper.
Wedding cartoon (A) inks
...and of course, moving on to the the next stage of producing the inks. It's shortly after this that stage 3 takes place, which is...
Wedding cartoon (A) pencils
From time to time, most couples want to remember that special day in their lives by doing something unique, hence the reason for been asked to produce a large cartoon as a landmark for their wedding day. Once photographs and bits of information had been provided, pencils would be draw for them to approve. This of course would be followed by the next stage...

Excelsior, Stan Lee Tribute Book.
Awhile ago, I was invited along with a number of other artists to
contribute to a new book entitled, Excelsior, a Stan Lee Tribute Book. This was to be produced on the occasion of his last european public appearance. Thinking about this, I decided to aim for one of the major villains that the King of comics, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee introduced us all to in Avengers #8, September 1964, namely, Kang the Conqueror himself. As a young lad, I recall how much I loved the cover artwork, therefore, it was fun drawing the above pencils with thanks.

Pseudo Tick 13
Pseudo Tick #13, published November 2000, was the first of my involvement on 11 Tick books. I've never forgotten the great pleasure of working on Ben Edlund's wonderful creation. I had originally become a big fan of The Tick when the Tv cartoon show was shown here in the UK, so getting the chance to do the pencils on the comic was a fun experience. Following this posting is page 19, one example showing my pencils, the other showing the inks by artist, Tak Toyoshima.

Tick Color 3 page 1 pencils
As often mentioned, having worked on a great variety of licensed characters over the past 38 years, The Tick remains one of the greatest, not to mention getting the chance to work with artists such as Kevin Atkinson and Tak Toyoshima. Therefore, following on, please find just a sample of pages covering my pencils, plus the finished published page. Big thanks.

The World of the Plastic Grannies
The Plastic Grannies came about originally with the unanswered question, "Where do all the glamour models go in their old age?" In a rather strange way, the question was answered by the creation of a series of single b/w cartoons. Busty Meadows Retirement Village is the home to these unique ladies, most within the age range of 95. However, age does not go against them having a wild and fun time. Why not check out Edith, Ethel May and Doris at their facebook page, but beware any young men below the age of 70.
